Piece by Piece

Can you imagine being ripped from your mother’s womb piece by piece? This is what happens when a child is aborted, the deliberate termination of a pregnancy. Every 23 seconds a baby is aborted in the U.S. Abortion is wrong because it is murder, safer options are available and birth control can be used to prevent conception but is not. A baby’s life begins at the time of conception. Did you know that at six weeks the heart of the baby has already begun to beat and brain waves can be measured? Most abortions are performed between seven to ten weeks. Safe options such as adoption can be used instead. Parents that cannot have children would love to have these babies. Over one million couples each year wish to adopt a child yet only about 50,000 couples are given children.  Also birth control is something that is readily available and cheap. Taking this can prevent conception and can stop the number unwanted pregnancies. People may argue, what about cases of rape? Of the 45-50 million babies aborted each year only 1% is because of rape or incest.  Having an abortion is selfish on the mother’s part and is often because they were irresponsible and didn’t take precautions. Don’t be pro-choice save a life.   

    

Did this break your heart?

I chose the commercial ad called "Quit Smoking" because it arouses may emotions. The main emotion it arouses to me was sadness. 

When I watched the video for the first I almost cried. The close up camera angles on the child's face really show the emotions because from the distant angles you can't really tell how the child is feeling. What also makes the video sad is the adults that pass the child and don't say anything or try to help him. Also the music in the background sounds like it is music that could be played at a funeral, to me. The speed that the people walk past also affect the mood because the child is stunned and they don't seem to care.     

I think that smoking is horrible for any human but, especially people that have children. The death of a parent from smoking can be horrifying. I think that any person that smokes should reconsider and try to stop before it is to late.

  



The Fight for M&M's

M&M's are the best candy that any human could ask for. There are many reasons to support this and here are a few: they are healthier, contain less artificial flavors and they relieve stress. 

M&M's contain less artificial flavors which allows this candy to be better for your health. They are made only with real milk chocolate and can contain soy and peanuts. Having less artificial flavors is better for you as well as it gives you a chocolate sensation inside.

M&M's are also healthier for you. The chocolate in the M&M's contain milk that gives you calcium for strong teeth and bones. Eating M&M's allows you to get some of the calcium that you need as well as it allows you to have a flavorful snack.

M&M's can also relieve stress. By giving you a flavorful chocolate candy, the stress can be taken away. Instead of thinking about the stressful things, you now think about the soft, delicious candy in your mouth. After a long hard day at work, come home and eat come M&M's.

People may argue that Starbursts have more flavors, but no candy IN THE WORLD can beat the soft, delicious, chocolate sensation of M&M's.
